In the Community
“Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. As a peacemaker, the lawyer has superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough.” -Abraham Lincoln
When compromise fails, as personal injury lawyers we are proud to support organizations who recognize our Seventh Amendment right to trial by jury. Firm founder Mike Bottaro is involved in several legal organizations including the American Bar Association, the Rhode Island Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Bar Association. Mike was unanimously voted to a Board Member position of the Rhode Island Association for Justice, a group of lawyers dedicated to protecting consumer rights at the state level and, at the national level, the American Association for Justice.
Outside the courtroom, we are guided by the following principle:
“The social purpose of the tort law is accident and injury prevention.” – from Introduction to Lawyers Desk Reference (9th ed. 2001).
We are involved in, and interested in, groups that help prevent future personal injuries and who are working towards making our Rhode Island and Massachusetts communities stronger. The Bottaro Law Firm, LLC supports Meeting Street School, Amos House, Christian outreach programs for children and the indigent, the Lions Club, MADD, anti-texting and driving organizations, and other groups with like-minded principles. If you would like to discuss our firm’s involvement with your event or organization, please contact us.
