High School Alcohol Consumption
Youth drinking is a serious problem in our country and is a topic we shouldn’t take lightly. It’s never to early to talk to your high schooler about drinking. Even if your student wouldn’t drink, they could easily be affected by the decisions of their peers. Our RI drug and alcohol lawyers want parents and kids to know the dangers associated with underage drinking. Help spread awareness and prevent injuries to minors.
According to the 2011 Youth Risk Behavior Survey, high school students reported participating in the following activities over the last 30 days:
• 39% drank some amount of alcohol
• 22% binge drank
• 8% drove after consuming alcohol
• 24% rode with a driver who had consumed alcohol
