How We Give Back: The 39th Annual Meeting Street Telethon

During our days in the office, we help our communities by assisting accident victims and the disabled with their legal needs, from getting compensation after an injury to securing the Social Security benefits for those unable to work. However, we are also committed to bettering our ministry by supporting local causes that are close to our hearts.

We were proud and honored to be a sponsor of the 39th annual Meeting Street Telethon. This fundraising event, which took place on January 24, 2015, was broadcast live on local television station WPRI 12. All proceeds went to help Meeting Street and the over 3,000 kids and families that the school and learning center serves in Providence and across Rhode Island.

For the charitable event, the Bottaro Law Firm, LLC sponsored an activity for children while their families helped raise funds for the school.

About Meeting Street

Located on a state-of-the-art nine-acre campus in the heart of Providence, Meeting Street provides educational and therapeutic services to children from birth to age 18. The learning center includes an early intervention program, a head start program, an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school. The center offers education and support to all children, :including those with special needs and disabilities.

Founded in 1946, Meeting Street values respect and excellence in order to educate, empower, and foster children as they grow. The learning center focuses on the following: one-on-one attention, a low teacher-student ratio, individualized learning solutions, and high parental involvement.

What You Can Do To Help

The 2015 Telethon may be over, but that doesn’t mean that you have missed your chance to support this very worthy cause. You can give to the center’s annual fund or participate in the school’s Buy a Brick program by visiting Meeting Street’s donation page. You can also contact the school to learn about other opportunities to support their vision, mission, and goals.

We believe that there are few better ways to help the ministry and invest in Providence’s future than through supporting the children who will be tomorrow’s leaders and citizens.
