What You Can Do if Their Insurance Is Not Adequate for Your Injuries
December 9th, 2014
After being in a bad accident, it is common to have concern that the party at fault does not have adequate coverage for your injuries. If this is the case, there may still be options. In Rhode Island, you may do something called stacking of insurance policies.
A client of ours suffered loss of vision after a driver struck her. The amount of coverage held by the driver was not nearly enough. We stacked the insurance polies of everyone living in the house with her, including her sister and mother. Using these three policies, along with the policy of the at-fault driver, were able to recover a significant amount for her injuries.
