North Kingstown, RI Police Lieutenant Injured in Rear-End Collision
In August 2011 our client, a 40-year-old North Kingstown police lieutenant, was stopped at a red light when the defendant crashed into the rear end of his police cruiser at over 40 mph.
The defendant admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking a marijuana cigarette prior to causing the collision. The defendant also admitted to texting on his cell phone as the accident occurred.
The collision left our client with a concussion, impingement syndrome of the left shoulder, rotator cuff tendinitis, biceps tenosynovitis and fraying, significant deficits in functional range of motion, and cubital tunnel syndrome with delay in motor conduction of the left upper extremity.
RI car accident lawyer Mike Bottaro obtained a $300,000.00 settlement for our client to cover medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and future medical expenses.
