WHAT IS THE CAMP LEJEUNE LAW (PACT)?

Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune appears to be one of the worst water contaminant sites in history.

The Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act seeks to provide justice for these wrongs. According to The White House, the Pact Act “is the most significant expansion of benefits and services for toxic exposed veterans in more than 30 years.”

The evidence points to repeated pollution from toxic chemicals, oil, and other industrial waste directly into the water supply. For years, there have been reports of injuries and harm (as described more below), but there was no federal law to address compensation. Now, this law will allow local people like you the right to be heard in federal court out of state.

HOW CAN RHODE ISLAND AND MASSACHUSETTS FAMILIES SEEK COMPENSATION FOR CAMP LEJEUNE WATER CONTAMINATION LAWSUITS?

The PACT Act can help those in our Rhode Island and Massachusetts communities in several ways. The law expands access to health care and health screenings. And notably, for the first time, it permits those harmed by the contaminated water at Camp Lejeune to file lawsuits against the federal government seeking compensation.

But to do this, you need a trusted legal team to fight for your rights and the sooner you apply, the sooner you will get in line, so to speak. As discussed, our trusted personal injury law firm is proud to be your local voice in what is shaping up to be national litigation.

There are estimations that from 1953 to 1987, millions of American veterans, families, and workers were exposed to this toxic contaminated water at the Camp Lejeune base.

This level of volatile organic compounds (“VOCs”) found in the Camp Lejeune water supply has been reported to cause a wide array of harms and personal injuries. You and your family may or may not even be aware of this link. Here are just some of the potential harms for which you or a loved one could be entitled to compensation:
