WHAT IS THE CAMP LEJEUNE LAW (PACT)?
Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune appears to be one of the worst water contaminant sites in history.
The Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act seeks to provide justice for these wrongs. According to The White House, the Pact Act “is the most significant expansion of benefits and services for toxic exposed veterans in more than 30 years.”
The evidence points to repeated pollution from toxic chemicals, oil, and other industrial waste directly into the water supply. For years, there have been reports of injuries and harm (as described more below), but there was no federal law to address compensation. Now, this law will allow local people like you the right to be heard in federal court out of state.
