North Providence, RI T-Bone Car Accident with Cervical Disc Herniation
The defendant failed to stop at a stop sign, causing the a significant T-bone car accident in North Providence. Our client was traveling west on College Road with the right of way.
North Providence Urgent Care diagnosed multiple injuries, including neck (cervical) pain. Later, our client began to feel numbness in his right arm and went back to his primary care doctors. He was then sent to physical therapy treatment for cervical outlet syndrome. Several weeks of treatment without feeling improvement, our client went for an MRI – where multiple disc herniations and disc bulges were found throughout his cervical spine, as well as moderate rotator cuff tendinopathy and an anterior labral tear in his right shoulder.
Before surgery was recommended, our client was recommended to continue physical therapy and was prescribed NSAIDS to reduce pain. With no improvement still, our client then received cervical epidural injections.
When the injections were ineffective, his orthopedic surgeon recommended cervical surgery. As a result of the car accident, our client had a cervical herniated disc, and ultimately underwent C5-C6 disc arthroplasty surgery.
The surgery was successful, yet in these types of cases, we look out and fight for our client’s rights including future complications.
