Day of Service at the Rhode Island Community Food Bank
One ministry that I love is to initiate our team members into active service. This is especially cool to watch for our newer teammates, many of whom have never done a day of service before!
This quarter we have scheduled some dates of service with one of my favorite Rhode Island charitable endeavors, and perhaps one of the most practical and effective. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank helps with the enormous problem of hunger and poverty.
At The Rhode Island Food Bank, our personal injury law firm team got right to work unpacking and loading various food in the warehouse so that it could be shipped out to families and people in need.
Bottaro Gives Back: Giving And Participating With Girls On The Run
I enjoy giving to those in need in the community. But even more than writing a check, it is amazing to get to know the organizations that we help financially. And it is gratifying to expose our team members to giving and to learning about the many amazing charitable organizations in our communities.
This month, we were visited by Jacklyn O’Hara, executive director of the Rhode Island chapter of Girls on the Run Rhode Island! Girls On The Run is a non-profit organization that uses a fun, experienced-based curriculum that inspires girls to be healthy, joyful, and confident. On May 19, my family, along with several members of our firm is scheduled to join them in their end-of-season celebratory 5K!
