What started as a personal injury case, has ended up to be much more than that. While handling a dear client’s case, I learned about his ministry efforts serving the homeless in Providence, Rhode Island.
My client and friend Saye began serving with a local group called “Fifty-Three:Five.” The name alludes to this bible verse:
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that made us whole, and with his stripes we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5
The leaders at Fifty-Three:Five understand that we have a deepening homeless and poverty issue right before our eyes here in Providence. Through helping with Saye’s car accident personal injury case, our firm has come to know of the good works that this non-profit has been quietly performing each day on our streets. Their mission is to help people in need of God’s love by bearing witness to the good news of his son Jesus Christ.
Our team wanted to help. So, for March, each week, our team has decided that we would build bagged lunches for the people.
