This past quarter, Attorney and firm founder and CEO Mike Bottaro took time out of his day to take 4 others from the firm to paint. Specifically, the team volunteered their time (and um, painting gifts) to Sojourner House.

Sojourner House is a non-profit organization that offers a transitional housing program for individuals and families impacted by domestic and sexual abuse and human trafficking.
Transitional housing, in their eyes, “is the bridge to self sufficiency and permanent housing for our clients.” The clients that they offer housing to are welcomed with support, case management and advocacy with help seeking permanent housing, clients have the opportunity to establish goals and learn skills in a safe environment. We work with different types of clients every day, some more fortunate than others and sometimes we find clients in unfortunate circumstances. Being able to help our clients in the community, in and out of the office is very important to our personal injury law firm.
Finding safe and affordable housing is a critical first step in a survivor’s journey to safety and independence after emotional and physical abuse. In 2022, SoJourner House provided 99,068 residential bed nights to victims in need.
As they grow their housing programs, they also need helping hands to renovate and prepare the houses for more victims and their families. They recently purchased a new home in Providence, RI that we had the opportunity to visit and help prepare for more survivors in the local community! We helped clean, paint and organize the new house! It was an emotionally overwhelming experience to be able to be a part of something so life-changing, just like we try to do every day working with our personal injury clients.
We look forward to supporting and returning to SoJourner House to help in the future and are blessed for the opportunity we recently had to help prepare another home with open arms!
