How Does Surgery After A Personal Injury Affect How Much Is My Case Worth?

When you have practiced Rhode Island and Massachusetts personal injury law as long as I have, you start to see and learn a lot about different surgeries.  If you have had a surgery after a personal injury, you need my help. Today, I am blogging about just a few of the surgical cases I have seen over the year after an auto accident, slip and fall accident, or other personal injury. People often are interested in how such surgeries affect their case worth:

How much is my case worth after a neck or back surgery?

Many jurors and arbitrators who decide your case have also experienced neck or back pain at some point in their life. If you have experienced a herniated disc, fusion surgery, discectomy, or other type of spine surgery, than these people can be your best advocate in the courtroom (after me of course!).

This is because it is our job to humanize you so that regular people can understand how spine surgery affects your everyday life both before, during, and after surgery.

One of the most frequently seen personal injuries from an auto accident is back and spinal cord injuries. Because of the force and impact from a vehicle, vertebrae and discs can be knocked out of place. In more serious accidents, bulging or herniated discs can be found – which usually includes surgery to repair the disc.

How much is my case worth after a brain or head surgery?

Head trauma from a car accident can result in all levels of traumatic brain injuries. (“TBIs”) and/or other head injuries, such as hematomas – an injury that occurs when the blood vessels rupture in either between the skull and brain or within the brain itself.

So….. how much is my case worth after surgery??

The short answer is “more.”  The longer answer is that it is our job at the Bottaro Law Firm, LLC to understand your injury and legally relate the need for surgery to the personal injury claim itself.

As a surgical candidate, your case at our firm receives a special level of attention. This is because if you have indeed suffered a surgery due to another’s negligence than we can help you achieve significant justice.

You may recall from reading our site and my past blogs that we first must prove your case. But if we can prove your case – meaning establishing fault and legal causation – than we can help you get the right level of compensation.

Your surgical case is potentially worth more, because your medical expenses and other damages are likely more significant than a similar non-surgical case.

There is a lot of work to do to help get you there, but we are here to help.
