ChatAccording to WPRI reports, on August 18, 2023 at around 8:00pm, a 24-year-old vehicle passenger passed away as a result of a two-car, speed-related accident on Pawtucket Avenue, near the intersection of Catlin Avenue.
The 27-year-old driver, the deceased’s brother, was left in critical condition at Rhode Island Hospital. His current status appears to be unknown to the public at this time. Luckily, the other 22-year-old driver is in stable condition. As of now, East Providence police are still asking the public for accident information. Additionally, no one has been criminally charged. However, law enforcement and locals alike are nearly certain that high speeds on this main road were a major factor in this case.
